The other classic trek in the Annapurna region is Annapurna Base Camp Trek. It is also called Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. For a short trek with few altitude problems, the Annapurna region provides you with unparalleled access to spectacular horizons of snowy peaks, so high that you'll find yourself looking twice before you believe that they are not clouds. As well as providing the views for which the trek is famous, the trails to Annapurna Base Camp combines some of the most stunning mountain scenery with fascinating insight into the life of middle hill Nepal. 12 days for the trek, allows time for exploration inside the Sanctuary and also chance to extend the route on to Ghorepani and Poon Hill. The trail up the Modi Khola passed through dense stands of rhododendron and bamboo for the first day. As you pass through the “gate” and enter the Sanctuary you find yourself in a huge arena enclosed by a solid wall of show capped peaks, which include Annapurna I, II, III, and IV plus the fish tailed spire of Machapuchhre.
The trail returns the same way until Chomrong and heads towards to Ghorepani via Tadapani. Ghorepani means (Horse water), and it is not doubt a welcome watering stop for the teams of horse. After an hour climb to Poon Hill you can view the massive view of 12-snow mountain, which fells you like you reach in paradise.
